The Port Townsend Farmers Market opens this Saturday! We are excited to join you in celebration of our 27th market season on April 6th from 9am-2pm, uptown. Farm vendors are bringing an abundance of local spring veggies, plant starts, pasture-raised meat, fish, eggs, and artisan cheese. We will also have hard cider, wine, baked goods, other delicious prepared food (including from some new vendors), as well as a beautiful variety of arts, crafts, and hand-made body care products. Come say "hi" to our returning vendors, introduce yourself to someone new (a vendor or a neighbor), and enjoy the music with us in uptown Port Townsend.

About the Music:
Opening Day at the Port Townsend Farmers Market welcomes a tradition that goes back 15-years: Kristin and Otto Smith serenading the opening ceremony with fiddle and concertina and marching with the goat parade. In the morning, Kristin and Otto will play contra dance tunes with the Tremont Revelers, including Lori Bernstein and Chris Cooper. The noontime set break will feature a guest appearance by the Lowest Pair, a banjo duo from Olympia comprised of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee. During the market’s afternoon set, Kristin and Otto will play Scandinavian tunes with The Norns.

From Our Vendors
Mystery Bay Farm is in full swing! We will have everything we make: Chevre, Yogurt, Ricotta and Cajeta. We'll even have our Chevre Florets as some of our flowers made it through the winter! Plus goats to celebrate and parade in honor of Opening Day!
Mt Townsend Creamery: Keep an eye out for Allium – Mt Townsend Creamery’s tribute to Spring! Allium is a soft cheese with shallots and chives. Enjoy it’s creamy interior and savory, bright spring flavor! This cheese is a limited release spring special – grab some while supplies last at the Farmers Market and/or Mt Townsend tasting room!
SpringRain Farm & Orchard has been super busy this winter growing greens in our unheated greenhouses. We will be loaded with lots of arugula, mixed salad greens, mixed microgreens, and spinach. Our hens are enjoying the sunshine, so we will also have lots of chicken eggs and some duck eggs as well for this first fun market.
Crust Bakery will now be serving hot soups at the Port Townsend Saturday Farmers Market. We will have one vegan option and one omnivore, in addition to our hand pies. Bring your bowl and spoon to enjoy hot soup made with local & organic ingredients. Our new booth space will now be where Nash's Farm usually is, in the center of the market. In order to help them with their loss this winter, we will be donating 15% of our opening market sales to Nash's Farm. We are looking forward to feeding you all.
Newquist Forge is happy to be back at the market with hand-forged cookware, garden tools, fire tools, and home decor. Our new product is a hand rake, fashioned after an old English hand rake. We will only be at the Port Townsend Farmers Market once a month for 2019. We hope to see you April 6 for opening day.
Sweet Lamb Baking Co. returns to the Market for our fourth season! We are excited to be back in the kitchen making sweet and savory croissants, sourdough bread, French macarons, and seasonal sandwiches. A couple of items to look forward to this weekend include Lemon Curd Danish and Nettle & Feta Savory Croissant.
One Straw Ranch is looking forward to the market season! We are fully stocked with lamb, beef, pork, and eggs. We even have a few new items like pork kabob cubes, pork loin roast, and lamb ribs. See you at the Market!
Red Dog Farm is super excited for the 2019 market season! For the first market, we'll have an abundance of our beautiful tulips, an early-spring variety of plant starts, as well as some produce. Plant choices range from veggies to bee and pollinator-attractors, perennial and annual flowers, as well as culinary and medicinal herbs. For produce, we'll have carrots, parsnips, beets, leeks, herbs, bunched greens, raabs, purple sprouting broccoli, cabbage and stir fry mix. Looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces Saturday!
New vendor, Three Peas Farm, will be offering smoothies, nettle tea, and farm fresh eggs this Saturday. Our goal is to produce all of the ingredients for our smoothies on the farm. As we grow our farm, we will support local farms, Chimacum Corner Farmstand, and the Food Co-Op in PT to supplement what we grow. Three Peas Farm is chemical and pesticide free and non-GMO. We look forward to meeting you at the Market!
We are seeking volunteers to assist with market setup and breakdown for our Port Townsend Saturday Farmers Market. This is a great opportunity to see the market behind the scene and connect with other volunteers as well as vendors. Interested in volunteering with the Jefferson County Farmers Markets?
