Saturday Market Inside the Community Center
Greetings Jefferson County Farmers Market Friends!
Saturday December 19th will be the last Port Townsend Farmers Market of 2015 and it will be INSIDE! Yes, you read me correctly, inside the Port Townsend Community Center. You will find your farmer friends outside in our usual uptown location and artisan food and craft vendors in the Community Center. Whether the weather be stormy or clear, we will be inside with holiday cheer!
This is your last chance in 2015 to purchase farm-fresh veggies directly from the farmers who grew them at the Saturday Farmers Market. Stock up on a variety of veggies great for winter storage: potatoes, squash, onions, garlic, leeks, carrots, parsnips, kohlrabi, kale and more! You will also find organic, local chicken and beef as well as flash frozen fish from Cape Cleare.
In the Community Center you will find gifts galore, including: delicious pies and baked goods, artisan cheeses, beautiful and warm slippers made of reclaimed sweaters, wreaths, pottery, jewelry, and so much more! We have all you need for under the tree and on the table during the winter holiday.
Shopping locally this holiday is a gift that gives twice; first to yourself or loved ones and second to our whole community as your dollars help sustain the farmers, artists and artisan food makers who make our community an amazing creative hub. When you buy at the Saturday Market you get the freshest most flavorful local produce and handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts. At the same time, more of your money stays in this community, supporting local jobs and living-wage salaries.
I look forward to seeing you this Saturday for the last Jefferson County Farmers Market of 2015! - Amanda
